Performance Chef is the brainchild of Alan, Michelin starred chef and former international sportsman in athletics and duathlon. Alan started his sporting life in the Scottish endurance running squad before taking an enforced break from sport in order to hone his skills in the kitchen. After achieving his culinary success Alan was able once again to satisfy his competitive personality, this time in duathlon, winning 3 European and 2 World Championship titles in his age group. Alan now combines his two passions in life to help other athletes fuel their sporting dreams.
After studying medicine at the University of St Andrews, Vicky took up an athletics scholarship at Florida State University where she won various regional titles at cross country and track, capped off with 2nd place at the NCAA championships in the 10,000m. This sparked a desire to pursue a career in sport - initially in athletics and more recently in long distance triathlon, representing Great Britain in both. Vicky brings her wealth of experience as a professional athlete to the Performance Chef table.
